Derrick Bremer has served as pastor of Denver Street Baptist Church since October 2020. He and his wife, Michelle, along with their children, Charlotte and Charles, have come to love Greenwood and the community Denver Street calls home. 

Bro. Derrick is a self-proclaimed theology nerd who believes theology belongs in everyday life. He is passionate about helping people know God's Word, understand what they believe, and faithfully follow Christ in their homes, churches, and communities. His approach to preaching and discipleship is rooted in the conviction that "all Scripture is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). 

Alongside his ministry at Denver Street, Bro. Derrick has held various other ministry roles within the Baptist Missionary Association. He's served as a member of the national work's coordinating council, an officer for the state association, and a board member and trustee for various departments. Our pastor writess a regular column for The Baptist Trumpet, the BMA of Arkansas' weekly newspaper, and has contributed to multiple lessons of the Baptist Expositor, the BMAA's quarterly Sunday School curriculum. 

The Bremer family is now preparing for their next season of ministry as BMA Global missionaries to France. They are currently traveling to build a team of ministry partners as they prepare to relocate for language study and long-term church-planting ministry. 

Denver Street has played an important part in the Lord's preparation for the work that lies ahead for the Bremers. We continue to share in the ministry together through prayer, encouragement, and partnership.
